Fall is great kayaking weather. Our glamping guests are welcome to borrow our paddleboards and kayaks for a paddle on Lake Travis, which can be accessed just 2 minutes down the road at Turkey Bend Recreation Area.

We're lucky to be located very near the Balcones Canyonland National Wildlife Refuge, which offers miles and miles of scenic hikes, some shaded, some out in the open with wide-open vistas over the hill country, and one hike with a sunset deck.

Chili Cook-off at Flat Creek Winery
The first-annual chili cook-off took place in October 2024 at Flat Creek Winery Estates, very near Talula Mesa Glamping Resort, and we hope it returns in 2025. What a great event! Flat Creek Estate Winery offers sprawling patios, excellent food, disc golf, tours, tastings, and a festive chili cook-off—a perfect activity to pair perfectly with your fall glamping getaway.
